Welcome to the Lumcloon NS Website

Our school was built in 1964 replacing Bun National School which was opened in 1885. Our school is situated between Cloghan and Kilcormac.

School FrontThe school was refurbished in 2005 and the new building was officially opened on May 6th by An Taoiseach, Brian Cowen T.D., then Minister of Finance and Dr. Colm O'Reilly, Bishop of Ardagh and Clonmacnois.

Our principal, Mrs Doolan, teaches Fourth, Fifth and Sixth classes. Mr. Gilligan teaches First, Second and Third classes. Ms. Kerin teaches Senior and Junior Infants and Mrs. Nolan is our Learning Support Teacher and Miss Molloy who only joined us this year is also a Learning Support/Resource teacher.

Carina Egan is our Special Needs Assistant and Carmel Hanniffy is our School Secretary.
