Our New Interactive Whiteboard
We have a new interactive whiteboard. It was given to the school by Lumcloon Energy, a company that plans to build a new gas fired power station on the site of the old ESB power station which was right beside our school.
Visitors to our school came on Thursday, January 29th to officially hand over the whiteboard to the school. Fr. Cadam, Martin Conroy and Mrs. Kerin represented the school. Councillor Barry Cowen made the presentation.
The local newspapers came to take photographs and some of the children were interviewed for Midlands Radio 3.
First and Second classes demonstrated how the board worked to the visitors.
School will close for the Easter Break on 26th March 2010 which will be the final day of the school term.
All schools will re-open on 12th April 2010.
The dates for Confession, Confirmation and Commuinion 2010 are as follows:
Confirmation - May 14th
Communion - May 22nd
Congratulations to Orla Kenny who came first in Offaly in her category in the INTO/EBS Handwriting Competition and to Nathan Cleary who was joint winner in his category in the same competition.
