The Wizard of Oz
On Wednesday the 27th of January the school were invited to the
"The Wizard of Oz" in L.S.U. Banagher.
The 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th classes went on a bus to Banagher.
This the story.
The Wizard of Oz
Long ago on a small Kansas farm lived Dorothy Gale and her Aunt and
Uncle.One evening when Dorothy was coming home from school she stopped
to pick flowers for her uncle Henry.
When she came home she went in to put the flowers into water and when she did
the tornado came and blew the house over the rainbow. When she landed she
landed on the wicked witch of the East.
When Dorothy woke up she was surrounded by Munchkins.Where am I?
she asked . "You're in Munchkin Land". How do I get out of here? Follow
the yellow brick road and it will lead you to Emerald City where the
Wizard of Oz will help you.
We will show you the right way.But then you are on your own.And be careful because there are dangerous animals such as the Jitterbugs.
Dorothy is travelling along the yellow brick road. She met scarecrow who wanted a brain so he went along with her to the Emerald City to find The Wizard of Oz to find her way back to Kansas.
Scarecrow had no brain and so he went with her to get a brain. They travelled on they heard someone muttering it was Tinman he could not move so he had to be oiled and he felt sad because he did not a heart so Dorothy asked him to come to the Emerald City with them.
They were walking through the forest when they herd a roar. A lion jumped out from behind them and gave them a fright. Dorothy asked him"Who are you"? And want do you want ? Dorothy told him that they were on there way to see the Great Oz.
Lion asked them if he could go with them to see Oz. On their way they heard strange noises.Suddenly the Jitterbugs trapped them and made them dance. Dorothy called the Sorceress and she froze them. Dorothy said "Thanks" to the Sorceress and they continued on their journey.
Dorothy, Tinman, Scarecrow and Lion were on their way to Oz.
When they got there they asked to see the wizard of Oz.
When they saw the wizard of Oz they asked could they have courage,a heart and
a brain and to get back to Kansas.
The wizard said I will give you those things if you kill the wicked witch of
the west.
They all said that they would kill the wicked witch if they got their wishes.
Dorothy killed the wicked witch of the west and went back to the wizard of Oz.
Dorothy and her friends asked the wizard to go home, Brains a new hart and
courage.
But the wizard said they did not need any of them things.
Then Dorothy and the wizard went back to Kansas and her friends were sad that
she had to leave.
Dorothy went home with the wizard in a air-balloon to Kansas.
