Lumcloon National School

This is the result of a project carried out by the 4th, 5th and 6th classes in our school. We started in April around the same time as the real Census 2002. We had to help the Infants with their census forms by calling out the questions to them and checking details like their month of birth etc. The 4th, 5th and 6th classes gathered all the information on census forms and put them in order according to class in the school. The collation of the data took a long time and everyone helped out.
Then the 6th class boys compiled all the data on the computer in Microsoft Excel. We then made bar charts of the information in Excel, printed them out and stuck them on the wall.

We think we have compiled an important set of statistics, and we hope that this will be done again, in the future so that we can compare these results with the new ones and maybe make trend graphs.
