St. Munchin's N.S.
is a thirteen teacher girls primary school in Ballynanty,
Co. Limerick. Their story was written by Elise and is
called
"Boyzone -
Here I Come!".
Shauna and Cliona had just finished looking through
the fifty-third packet of Patchies and they found nothing.
They were devastated. They walked over to the bog. Shauna
sat on the grass and started to sob. Cliona shuffled the
rubbish with her shoe. She saw something like gold tinfoil
flash before her. She picked it up.
It said in fancy writing BOYZONE. You have just won
two, all expenses paid, back stage passes to the Boyzone
concert in The Point on the 5 /11/ 99 at 3.30pm. Please

Cliona couldn't believe her eyes. She showed it to Shauna.
They were both very excited. They ran to show the note
to Teresa. She was really happy for them. Shauna rang
the phone number. She was asked her name, address, phone
number and who she was going to bring with her. She had
to give same details about that person. Then they asked
for her parents. She was told they were going to stay
in a luxurious hotel room in the " Porkie Pie Hotel"
The next day they were picked up by a shiny black limousine.
They were taken to the " Porkie Pie Hotel"
on the quays. They went up to the luxurious hotel
room. It was painted a light pink with a flowery
border. It had two double beds and a fridge full
of delicious food. They also got their breakfast,
lunch, dinner and tea in the restaurant. They went
to the swimming pool too.
In the morning they were brought to the clothes
and shoe shops of their choice where they got new
clothes, shoes and accessories.
Cliona got a long light pink skirt with sequins
scattered around it, a light pink top and a white
cardigan.
She got a pair of high strapped sandals too. She
also got a glittery hairband. Shauna got a pair
of light blue combat pants, a light blue sleeveless
fleece top and a white polo neck. She got a pair
of silver high boots and 5 butterflies. Then at
3.00pm they were escorted to The Point by the shiny
black limo they were in the day before. They listened
and danced to all the songs and their favourite
song was Stephen Gately's solo song - " Shooting
Star".
At the end of the concert the two girls were taken
backstage. They were really nervous. Ronan gave
them a kiss. They asked Boyzone lots of questions
and talked to them for about 25 minutes. They got
signed albums, t-shirts and an autograph each. They
went back to the hotel where they were greeted by
their families. They stayed in the hotel for another
week and had the best time of their lives.
